We wanted to write a brief description of our recent experience doing business with the “California Art Comapny” and Greg Colley where we transacted the selling of two fine art paintings. The end result was that the agreement we signed was concluded with a positive outcome for both the “California Art Company” and ourselves.
We initially contacted Greg via email asking for an offer on two fine art paintings we knew they would be interested in. They responded promptly and to the point and after various emails back and forth we agreed on a price.
We were a bit skeptical initially as we had not done business with them before and although we were not happy with the way we were asked to transact, their business references checked out with positive responses from companies with solid backgrounds. Each confirmed having conducted business with them over the past few years with a positive final report.
Through our negotiations and the various steps of our transaction, we got to know Greg a little better since we were not easy customers for them. We did this so as to see how they would respond and they were always professional and unwavering, so we decided that we would complete our side of the bargain. Against our will and our better judgment, we risked shipping the paintings in good faith (at California Art Company’s expense). Within 24 hours of receiving the paintings they were reviewed and the courier forwarded full payment as had been agreed in the purchase agreement. We understood from their point of view that this was the only way a transaction could take place and we were satisfied with the professional way in which they handled the business.
We would certainly recommend Greg and the “California Art Company” based on our experience with them from the outcome of this transaction.
